Mankato, MN (April 9, 2024) — The Mankato Area Foundation (MAF) is welcoming the community to get a sneak peek of the newly renovated Shared Spaces at Emy Frentz during the Mankato Art Crawl on Saturday, April 13, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Located at 523 S. Second Street in Mankato, Shared Spaces at Emy Frentz will join the Shared Spaces family as an additional nonprofit center. The building was generously donated by Tony Frentz in honor of his mother, Emy – who was a local artist – as a way to support community and arts organizations.
Activities taking place that day at Shared Spaces at Emy Frentz include:
- Mankato Community Collage: Stop by Shared Spaces at Emy Frentz to participate in this free, community wide opportunity to have portraits taken. Photos from this, and other upcoming photo sessions that MAF is sponsoring, will capture hundreds of individuals and become part of a large-scale exhibition this fall.
- “Photographic Journeys”, an exhibit featuring the work of Jonathan Zierdt. All proceeds from photos purchased will benefit the JZ Cancer Fund, which builds cancer awareness and support.
