SHEILA M. HEIDEN
May 30, 2023, Sheila received the call that she had breast cancer—Stage 3C.
The past year has included surgery, 20 weeks of chemo treatments (infusions), just over three weeks of radiation treatments. She has begun two years of oral chemo treatments.
Sheila is grateful for the care of medical personnel and so many friends and family for their love, support and prayers. The bonus along the way has been the help found in the JZ Fully Alive box and the generous gifts from B The Light and Phil’s Friends.
Sheila is the seventh of eleven children. She grew up in Foreston, MN. She and her husband Dennis moved to Mankato so that Dennis could be a Pastor at Hosanna Lutheran Church where Sheila is an avid volunteer. Together they have four children and eleven grandchildren. She taught preschool for many years and worked as a para at Kennedy Elementary.
She enjoys volunteering with Connections Shelter, Options for Women, traveling and shopping.
