On a rolling basis, the Mankato Area Foundation makes grants in response to applications received from non-profit organizations, schools and government agencies. As part of the framework for our granting, Mankato Area Foundation funds projects and programs aimed at strengthening our region, improving lives and fueling growth or change. Learn more

The mission of the Consolidated Communications Community Fund is to support initiatives benefiting people and communities in the company's southern Minnesota service area, with a focus on K-12 education and critical community needs. Learn more

The mission of the Eide Bailly Fund is to be connected to the communities they serve and strengthen those communities with impactful giving in support of youth financial literacy; food insecurity; diversity, equity and inclusion; and community initiatives. Learn more

HOCKEY DAY MINNESOTA (HDM) 2022 GROW THE GAME FUND

Through the support of this community, the event’s generous sponsors and Maverick hockey fans, proceeds raised from the event will be awarded as grants to grow the game of hockey in the Greater Mankato Area. Learn more

MINNESOTA RIVER BUILDER'S ASSOCIATION (MRBA) BUILDING OUR FUTURE FUND

The MRBA Building Our Future Grant Fund provides an opportunity for schools in a designated area to apply for funding to support education focused on trades and the construction industry. Learn more

DONOR ADVISED GRANTS

Many of our grants to area nonprofit organizations are made through Donor Advised Funds that are established by individuals, families or organizations who wish to give back to the causes they care about. Though the Foundation may make donors aware of worthy grant opportunities, Donor Advised Funds do not accept applications directly.

Giving for Good Catalog - 2025 

Thank you to the 50+ nonprofits who submitted a request for the 2025 Giving for Good Catalog! The number of submissions underscores just how many pressing needs exist in our region—and we’re working hard behind the scenes to bring these important projects to light. The Catalog goes live on July 7, 2025!

Community Giving Campaign: July 7-August 8, 2025

From July 7 to August 8, the Giving for Good Catalog will highlight projects from nonprofits across our region, each addressing one of their most urgent needs. This online giving campaign invites donors to explore, connect with, and directly support the causes that inspire them.

In partnership with participating nonprofits, MAF will shine a spotlight on the important work happening in Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties—raising both awareness and funding through this new initiative.

Be sure to check back on July 7 to help lift up and support nonprofits doing critical work in our region!
