In her professional and personal life, Tara wears many hats, including one that is proudly labeled “mom.” She and her husband have a young daughter, and they love the days when family time fills up their agenda.

Family is also important to Tara in her role as a partner. She focuses her practice on guiding families through the preparation of trust and estate returns as well as trust and estate planning, which, given the circumstances, can be stressful and emotional for those involved. For Tara, getting to know the family members and gaining an understanding of their personal values and wishes is what’s most important. Her definition of a successful day is when a client leaves her office with a more peaceful expression on their face than when they first walked in.

Having earned a Master of Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota, Tara also advises businesses across a broad range of industries, including many manufacturing clients, to unravel complicated accounting and tax matters.

Tara enjoys traveling on her days off, and is excited to share her passion for exploring new places with her daughter as she grows up. When they’re in town, the family of four (dog Eva is happily included in the mix) looks forward to visiting the lake with their extended family.
