Feeding the Need – The Realities and Responses to Local Food Insecurity
This discussion will focus on the growing issue of food insecurity and the innovative, collaborative approaches being developed in our community to address it. Members will gain timely insight into programs—both established and emerging—that aim to improve access to healthy, reliable food across the region. The conversation will highlight the complex systems behind hunger and offer members a clearer sense of how they can support this essential work.
The Women’s Giving Circle, a fund of the Mankato Area Foundation, offers an opportunity for women in our community to come together to actively participate in local philanthropy. Members contribute to the fund through their membership and then meet regularly to determine where the collective dollars are granted.
